FTS Excavation was founded by Beverly and Frank Sharp, a husband-and-wife team driven by strong values, perseverance, and a shared commitment to serving their community. Their journey blends Frank’s lifelong passion for heavy equipment with Beverly’s entrepreneurial spirit, creating a company rooted in both skill and vision.
From a young age, Frank Sharp was drawn to construction, often watching job sites and dreaming of operating machinery. He pursued that passion by joining the U.S. Marines with the goal of becoming a heavy equipment operator. Today, he brings nearly 30 years of hands-on experience, having worked on a wide range of projects including commercial developments, road work, septic systems, and residential construction.
Before co-founding FTS Excavation, Beverly Sharp was a dedicated single mother who invested in her family and developed her business instincts through hands-on projects, including flipping homes. She later sold one of her properties and used the proceeds to help launch FTS Excavation, combining her drive and leadership with Frank’s technical expertise.
Built on faith and purpose, the Sharps view their work as a calling, with “FTS” representing “For The Savior.” Their mission extends beyond construction—aiming to build up the lives of their employees while delivering meaningful service to their customers. The company is guided by core values of reputation, leadership, and sincerity, striving for excellence in every project.
