Puyallup Parks and Recreation: Your Guide to Facility Hours and Closures

by | Oct 14, 2024

The Puyallup Parks and Recreation facilities are more than just buildings; they are vibrant spaces where memories are made and health is prioritized. Our generous facility hours reflect our commitment to ensuring everyone in our community has access to quality recreational options. Open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., there’s ample opportunity to fit some activity into your busy schedule, regardless of your weekday commitments.

Whether you’re a morning jogger, a late-evening yoga enthusiast, or someone who finds their weekend incomplete without a splash in the pool, our scheduling accommodates your lifestyle. While weekends might be closed earlier, these hours are meticulously planned to ensure enough time for family, friends, and fitness to coexist harmoniously. It’s about giving you the time you need, when you need it, to explore everything from fitness classes to leisure activities, ensuring the Puyallup Parks and Recreation facilities are a cornerstone of your healthy lifestyle.

Life’s celebrations and remembrances also mean that the doors to our facilities must occasionally close. Throughout the year, specific dates mark the calendar for facility closures, aligning with national holidays and special occasions. These include New Year’s Day on January 1, Martin Luther King Jr Day on January 16, Presidents’ Day on February 20, Easter on April 9, and Memorial Day on May 29. It’s a pause, not just for our staff to regroup and restore but also an opportunity for our visitors to reflect, celebrate, and honor these significant dates alongside their loved ones.

As the year progresses, Veterans Day on November 11, Thanksgiving Day on November 23, and the day after Thanksgiving take their place on the calendar. December is unique, with an early closure at 5 p.m. on the 24th and 31st, allowing our staff and patrons to welcome Christmas and the New Year with their families. These closures are a reminder of the balance between service and self, ensuring that when the doors reopen, it’s to an environment of renewed energy and enthusiasm.
